In a battle of cruiserweight, former WBC light heavyweight champion Tomasz Adamek of Poland (35-1, 24 KOs) won by split decision against cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham (21-1, 11 KOs), claiming the world title on Thursday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
